MERCADEANDO: ONLINE SHOPPING IN ZARAGOZA MARKETS
“Mercadeando Zaragoza” is a platform that allows the purchase of products in the food markets of Zaragoza.
This is a pioneering online shopping initiative for municipal markets in Spain, led by Zaragoza City Council and developed by the University of Zaragoza in collaboration with Geoslab, as a technological partner, and the Central Market Retailers Association, which will be responsible for managing the platform.
So far, it is available for the Central Market, the Agroecological Market and the Valdespartera Market, but other municipal markets, such as San Vicente Paul, are expected to be added soon.
The purchase can be made through the web https://zaragoza.es/sede/servicio/mercados/or using the mobile app, available for Android and iOS devices.
Once the amount of the order has been paid through a secure payment gateway, the most convenient delivery time slot can be chosen.
Deliveries are made to Zaragoza capital, rural neighbourhoods and Zaragoza belt. In the case of the Agroecological Market, in addition to home delivery, you can pick up your purchase at the market itself without waiting.
The delivery is carried out by Correos Frío in temperature-controlled vehicles, to guarantee that the fresh products are delivered in optimal conditions.
Zaragoza City Council is a pioneer in the implementation of an online shopping platform for municipal markets.
